February 28th - Cherished China

Ahhhhh aren't these gorgeous! I was putting my dishes in my new buffet today and going through all my china getting ready for Ashley's baby shower tea at my house next weekend and grabbed this box. My sister gave me my Great Grandma's china a couple months ago when she was moving but I never opened the box until today to put it safely away in it's new home. I was in awe when I opened it - this pic doesn't do it justice - it is absolutely stunning with golden brownish tones.....I'm in love with the square lunch plates.

Who wants to come over and join me for a fancy dinner sometime soon??

February 22 - Buffet

I have the best Sis and BIL ever! My sis gave me this new buffet for my dining room (okay I'll admit it's on an indefinite loan - someday she'll want it back but hmmmmm maybe I won't give it back). For a couple years I have really wanted a new piece for my dining room because I had an old little piece there that looked like Alice in Wonderland furniture especially with my tall ceilings and I REALLY needed the storage. I have put off buying something cuz it's not a "need" and I didn't want to buy just anything. Then one day I got a big Jesus Romance.....my sis showed me a pic of this and asked if I wanted it...I was so excited but then it was the task of how to get it from Newport Beach to SCV. Well my very sweet BIL drove it up to me on Sunday and turned right around and went back home (well not that quickly....I took him out for sushi lunch before he left - one of our fav things to do together since sis doesn't dig it). Thanks Rod - you're the best! Love you both!!! xoxo

February 24th - Lisa & Joe

One of my absolute favorites-to-date that I have done. I'm thrilled with how this design came out AND I love working with this bride she's a doll.....it's been a breeze even though she's on the east coast!!

February 27th - Lia Sophia

Preggo Ashley (she's due April - yay!) had a Lia Sophia jewelry party at her new house Friday night...love their jewelry!!

February 26th - Little One

Sweet little Melissa - "little one" is what I call her! She is in Jodi's small group and made dinner last night - yummy pork chops, homemade applesauce (who knew) and this cornbread thingy that was amazing!! It wasn't until I had a 2nd piece that I was told a whole stick of butter went into the 9x9 recipe - eeeek!! We took several pictures but this one made us laugh so hard that I had to use it!!

February 25th - Kailey

The old spanish trail had a house guest this past week - sweet Kailey (she's on the left - BFF on the right)! Kailey you're welcome over anytime - especially with that amazing pizza you made and your 2 buck chuck! Love you!!!

February 21st - Napkins

These were found on day 21 of my kitchen tour.....all the "leftovers" that you can't throw away but there are never enough for party #2.

February 20th - Shannon

Shannon came over Friday night to hang out - it was so much fun catching up and chatting for hours. We took a cute photo of the 3 of us but it doesn't really capture the night like this one :). Pretty much this is what you get at my house - YUMMY LATTES! They are happily served them to anyone who comes by and visits....well okay almost anyone!! I can make a mean foam but Shannon's is actually whipped cream - in fact her cup is probably half empty and she went for round 2 on the whipped cream!

February 18th - GreenBags

I know it's a funny picture but I would never have bought these Debbie Meyer GreenBags but THEY WORK! My mom bought them for me and I love them - they are awesome for bananas (and other produce) and I love my bananas! Many stores carry them - you don't have to go through the infomercial (my mom and dad taught me that secret)!

February 17th - More computer woooooos

The past week has been a constant struggle with my home office....
My beautiful monitor died (3 weeks out of warranty)
My printer broke yesterday and is still at the doctors!
My computer is freezing every hour and still can't find the cause :(
My temporary monitor's color is sooo off it's hard to work (even tho I'm thankful for the loaner :)).............sigh!

February 16th - Rainy Day Perfection

Have I mentioned how much I love my latte machine!!! Nothing like a rainy day AND a holiday treat.......I love lattes at home!

For Valentine's Day - we all got tattoos. Auntie got hearts and Sophia got a WoWo - she loves WoWos!

Dinner with the crew Friday night - Jason, Tracie, Randy, Jodi and me! I love the crew!!

Everywhere I shopped this Valentine's Day there were owls owls and more owls and you know how I feel about owls!!!!

Last July one of my suite mates from college, Sarah, got married and all of us girls traveled to Chicago for the wedding. We all try to get together every couple years (there's 10 or so of us). Sarah and Larry had a photo booth at their wedding and she mailed these to me - what a surprise to receive them in the mail last week! Thanks Sarah - love you!! xoxo

I started listening to this series - it didn't take me long to whip through it - it's amazing and I highly recommend it!!!! (I already got Jodi's small group to start it :)

Marucs and I played with the train set he has at my house until the very last minute before they had to head home! I heart the Brooks family!!!
